LISA and ApacheCon

I’ll be at LISA, at least for the last day, where I’ll be doing a “Guru is in” session on OpenSSL, Apache and DNSSEC (and, to be honest, anything else anyone wants to talk to me about), then I’ll be at ApacheCon for the duration, hanging out at the Hackathon (where the Apache developers get together over the weekend) and the conference, where I will not be giving a lightning talk, because you just can’t trust Fred and Fitz.

For the impatient, both of these events are in San Diego, next week and the week after.

If anyone wants to meet up, I’d love to hear from them.

  1. If I were able to attend, I’d suggest an update on virtual hosts progress. I.e., the ability to support multiple domains over one IP/port in Apache TLS.

  2. I’ve wanted that for so long I’ve forgotten how long. I believe the status is that there’s finally an extension to TLS mooted to do this, but I think it is still an Internet Draft rather than an RFC. In any case, what’s needed next is for OpenSSL to support the extension, then Apache-SSL can use it.

  3. What time Friday?
I’ll be at LISA for the full week, so there’s no telling how exhausted I’ll be by Friday, but if I don’t forget I’ll be there 🙂

  4. 11 to 12.30 apparently. Not sure how exhausted I’ll be, either – I get in on Wednesday, and I have a party to go to on Thursday. 🙂

  5. It’s shame you won’t be participating in the lightning talks again, your talk in Stuttgart was fun! 🙂 See you on Friday evening or Saturday
